I am using Crystal 10.
I have a subreport that gives me the average monthly usage for inventory items and I want to pass that information through a shared variable to my main report. The subreport works correctly and using a shared variable passes the correct data to each item in the main report except the first line on each page.
What have I done incorrectly?

You need to identify the section where the subreport is placed and the section where you are referencing the shared variable in the main report.

The sub report is in group header 1 and the shared variable is in a formula in group footer 1.
Is that what you mean?

What section is the "first line" on the page? Do you have a reset formula for the shared variable? In what main report section is this placed?

-LB

The first line is in group footer 1.

I have the following reset formula in page header b
whileprintingrecords;
shared numbervar MoAvglast12:= 0;

Move your reset formula from the page header to GF_b or to GH_a (with the sub in GH_b).
