Hey guys,
I just wanted to share with you that I passed the first CCNP test. ( Advanced Routing ) . I still have three more to go though.
I also wanted to thank the creator of this site. Personally, I believe this site is very useful because we learn a lot of stuff from it. We also get the chance to share our knowledge with each other.

Thanks,
Fernando

farana75,

GREAT job !!!

That is one hard exam - I just passed it by the skin of my teeth but passing is passing. I am working on switching now!!

Good job farana75. I think you'll find that either routing or switching are the two easiest of the 4 exams. I gurantee you that others will disagree with me, but beleive me BCRAN and CIT are no walk in the park.

I personally foind CIT to be the toughest. It use to be the easiest as I've heard but I passed it a few months back and it was brutal.

Thanks for you advise Ryan..

My next route will be Multilayer Switching. I hope I do okay on that one.. I heard it's not too bad..

Thanks again,
Fernando

I used Cisco Press and the cisco academy curriculum as the study material. I also used Test Killer as the study guide. Most of the questions I had on the CCNP test are found on the Test Killer questions guide.
Thanks,

What is test killer I haven't heard of that before.

I haven't heard of testkiller but I have heard of testking. My advice with that type of stuff is never to use it as a sole method of studying. Use it for validation after you have completed your studying. When you feel you are comfortable enough to pass the test, then I suppose it is OK to use these "other" methods for validation.

Am using Cisco Press Exam Cert Guide all 882 pages!!!!!!! and the Sybex book mainly just for the lab side of things and also read stuff on the cisco website.

The Test killer study guide is found at This is one of the best study guides I have ever seen for the CCNP Advanced Routing test. Most of the questions on the CCNP exam are found on this study guide, specially the Simulation questions. However, dont' rely on this because there are some errors on it.
Thanks,
Fernando
