Anyone started on Voice yet?

I've heard this test is tricky. Which books did you use to study?

diane teare. IT is by far the best. I did by the other study guide by cisco, but it lacked in to many areas. I also used the knowledgenet DESGN 1.1 and CCDA-CCDP flash cards.

How far off was the material from CCNA? Does it help better understand as a whole ?

My concern about all of the CCDA books is that they seem to be less current than any of the CCNA material. It seems like most of the books came out in 2003. Is this normal? The CCNA books seem, for some reason, to be updated more.

Please let me know, I finished my CCNA this afternoon (2nd attempt, celebrated by going to see the afternoon showing of Star Wars, woohoo!) and am looking to get started on this ASAP.

The diane teare was published in 2004. It has very current information for 640-861. Trust me, I couldn't have passed the test without it. You should also consider getting top down network design 2nd edition. Thanks!

I've ordered the book, I can't wait to get started. My only question is, you mention that the book came out in 2004, but Teare's CCDA book is listed on amazon and ciscopress as having been published in late 2003. Are we talking about the same book?

i will have to look at my book. I swear it said 2004 in mine. I will let you know. Either way, it has all updated information for the ccda 640-861. The latest top down is also great for understanding business goals/constraints.

"The latest top down is also great for understanding business goals/constraints."

What is "the latest top down"?

Cisco Press: Top Down Network Design Second Ed.

Just checked it out on Amazon (and read some of the preview). Wow, it looks like an awesome book. I'm going to have to get it . . .
