It doesn't seem that many of the people here are doing the MCSD for .NET, but I'm happy to have passed the C#.NET 1.1 for Windows Applications test.
The test was quite diverse and frankly easier than the material I studied. But that's ok, because I learned a great deal in my studies. I'm more worried about learning the material than I am in passing tests.
I would love to see a hands-on test that could really separate the poseurs from the real developers. Just sit someone at a computer and give them requirements for building an app. Then they have to create that app with the best practices they know. Of course that would create a lot more subjectivity in grading the exam, but I think it's doable. Doesn't CISCO provide those types of tests where you actually have to troubleshoot a problem, etc?
Now I have three more to go to get the MCSD for the 1.1 version and I will get another plaque from Bill, or would it be someone else now?
Then hopefully next year I will tackle the 2.0 version.
