My advice is don't spend to much time reading the code in the exhibits before you read the “WHOLE” question first. Some times the problem (and consequently the answer) has nothing to do with the code at all. Again this is just some times so please be careful using this approach, scan the question as a whole to get a feeling of it and then decide if you need to read the code or not.

First of all congrats....

Secondly .....How many questions do you get and what is the general format?

The # of questions was 44

The formate is a question has a multi answers and you choose one or many (they will tell you). The only thing you need to be aware of is THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME so have your concentration set to 100%

I agree Walid about time.

With 229 and in particular 228, I felt given the time I could have answered almost all of the questions. The problem is that some of them are so wordy you have to read them a couple of times to be sure you have not mis-understood the situation.

I'd have to disagree about the amount of time. With both 228 and 229 I had over 30 minutes left when I was done. With 229 I had enough time to review all the questions before finishing the test.

Mr Denny,

I agree completely. I had PLENTY of time left over on both 228 and, especially, 229.

I believe that I had over 50 minutes left on the 229 test and I scored a 954. Frankly, the part of the test that I had to study the most was the 2000/7.0/6.5 differences since I had been working exclusively with 2000 for so long.

As with all these tests, the more experience that you have with the subject matter (I have been working w/ t-sql on an every day basis for over a half decade), the easier the test on that subject.

For me, 290 was the toughest test.

How much time are you given for this test?

about 100 minutes I think. Not sure, it was a while ago. The amount of time should be the same for everyone.
