Well I beat the deadline on the routing exam, passed with 848. I totally tanked Implementing BGP in Scalable Networks (33% ouch) but did well enough in the other ares to make up for it (actually max'ing several other categories). I don't feel that the actual test was a hard a Boson but still a tough test.
For the record I used both BSCI Cisco Press books and Boson tests and router sims. I also have an O'Reilly book called CISCO IOS Access List - it's awesome for route maps, redistribution and policy based routing tips (part of the reason I was so bummed by my low BGP results). Plus, I have a 6 router lab (5 X 2500 and a 3600) with 2 switches (and older 3000 and a 1900). I'm looking at buying or borrowing a CAT 5000 and a 2900. I was able to complete most of the Router labs in the Cisco books with my set up.
I'm going to try and complete the remaining 3 640 exams before they expire so I got my work cut out for me. Must be registered by Sept. 7 and have 45 days after that to complete them. Any advise???
