Hi.

I have a customer that would like to use a autoattendend and one choice should be. -press your 3 digits code to accept, or something like that.

maybe I can use the autoattenden like this.
if the code is 1 2 3

I build a tree thats works with 1 and then moves further and then 2 and moves further and so on.this may work or what do you think?

or can I use anything else. DISA for ex... ?

need tip and so on for this.

system is a Mitel 3300 CX with 9.0 UR1

Regards U

I'm not quite understanding.

Are you trying to use Embedded Mail for some sort of authentication for access to the system?

Try telling us your goal and let us best suggest the method.

Ok...

I will try. what I would like to be able to do is a restricted area. a code protected area. this is for a support number and my customer would like to let contracted customers to pass by and to do this they need to use a code. any one that understand now.. ? :)

I would use DISA with account code.

Leave the voicemail for the regular customers.

Make sure that the COR you assign to the account code denies outbound calling or at least denies long distance.

All sorts automation could be done using SIP trunking with small asterisk system at minimum cost. Options are huge, to name few is validation against a database, check Caller ID and let caller go if in "approved" list or prompt for entering an individual access code, taking messages with cutom AA scripts and so far so on.

Ok.. DISA would work hopefully, but how can I solv it.

I would like to use the main number. and as follow.

press 1 for support. (next level)
press 1 if you have a support contract and press your pin code
press 2 if you dont have a contract.

If the caller press 1 for support contract. Can i now reroute the call do disa to let the caller press a code and then forward the call to the correct number if right code is pressed.. ?

does any bode understand my question.. ?

Regards UO

The embedded voicemail is not designed to function in the way you desire. If you are committed having a IVR application you need to acquire a system capable of it as slapin suggests above.

The best you could achieve with what you have is for the VM to transfer the call to DISA. The system will respond with dialtone and the caller will need to know how to proceed from there without prompts.

Ok. thank you.

Is I assumed. I think the above will be a work around for my customer.

when I rerout the caller to DISA, can I there reroute the caller further to a correct answering point if the pressed pin is correct?

Nothing automatic, DISA will present dialtone, enter account code and then dialtone again. Make sure the account code COR restricts the caller from long distance calling.

Use DISA without account code at your peril.
