Passageway for Melin Legend

We purchased several Passageway software/hardware packages for the Merlin Legend. I have loaded the software on the PC but the serial box has a red light on instead of a green light.

Do I need to set something up on the system or phone to get this to work. Also I am on Windows 2000 and it appears this was a Windows 95 or 98 product. Do you know where I can get updated software?

Actually, I believe the software was a windows 3.11 product. Myabe 95, but doubt it! It might depend on release date/version of the one you bought. Avaya used to have a downloads section under communications systems support. I found out today, that they removed it. I think they are going to tighten the noose and keep the freebies to a minimum. That page used to have software patches on it. If you have a computer available with win 95/98 try it out. I have a passageway I bought for my test system to learn new features, but is still in the box. I have found that my Win 2000 computer does not work with winspm even with the version patch for win 2000. I think Avaya still has bugs to work out of the win 2000 interfaces. You could upgrade to XP, it allows you to load software in a win95 platform. Good luck!! Let us know what you find.

Passageway only works with certain MLX (-dp types)phones, I believe, check to make sure you have the right ones. MLX-16DP is good

Does anybody know where I can download the updates to the Passageway software? The version that came with the device only works with Windows 3.1. I've looked everywhere on the Avaya site. I would like to integrate it with Outlook.
