I am trying to set up a sub form using a pass through query. I get an error saying I can't do this but I was wondering if there is some way "around" this... using coding or anything else??

Thanks,

Hi,

I don't know if I have the answer, but I want to be sure I understand the question...

1) You've created a pass through query
2) You're trying to create a sub form using the
results from the query.

Is this correct? If so, what is the error message?

What I have is a pass through query from a remote server that I set up. I have three different pass through queries on the same server-different tables. After setting them up, I try to set up a form with two subforms on it. That is when the following error pops up:
" You can't use a pass-through query or a non-fixed-column crosstab query as a record source for a subform or subreport. "

I was hoping there was some way around this with out downloading the entire data base/table. Any ideas?
