Hi

Is it possible to pass a block of text to all records in a report? Have a report based on a parameter query and it would be very useful to be able to generate an extra block of text that would appear in all of the report's records.

The parameters are passed to the query from an unbound form that has combo boxes to define the set of parameters needed. Having an unbound memo field for the extra text would do the job but can't see how this could feed into a report based on the query output.

You can set a textbox to reference a form control. For example:

=Me.frmForm.txtText

Or, you can create a new column in your query like:
Field: NewMemo: Forms!frmForm!txtText

You then have a new column/field in your report's record source named NewMemo that contains the text entered into the text box.

Thanks guys, works fine. It also gives me a way of doing a quick and dirty mail merge without going near Word.
