I need to paste text from a Word file into a Quark file - But the text is Greek and copies accross as mainly question marks!

I have installed some greek fonts but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've also tried stuff like copying it into notepad first (which appears fine in notepad) then copying from notepad into Quark, but it still doesn't work!!

Can anyone help me please?!!! I am quite desparate now!

Thanks

Paul

From what you say it sounds as if you're using extended Unicode characters, which Quark unfortunately doesn't support yet. You'll have to use a font such as Symbol where the Greek letters are encoded as standard ASCII characters.

Thanks - I've found a solution by saving the word file as unicode txt, then opening that file again in word and saving as rtf, then importing(get text) into a quark text box.

But I am interested in your post as it would still be handy to copy and paste from the original - Symbol looks really odd ie, doesn't keep the Greek characters intact. Is there another font that keeps Greek characters as ISCII?
