Parts is Parts

Greetings,
we have a nortel meridian. its a tank! yeah programming it is like DOS, but so what? IT WORKS!

we have been advised a couple of times by different vendors that the system has no parts available, so we are at high risk, and we should look at new systems, like avaya and mitel. (no cisco)

How accurate is the lack of parts statement? and is that really a concern based on how reliable it is? AFAIK we have had one card fail since 1979!
(OMG is there anything that works like that anymore?)

The biggest draw back to your system is the Software Release, it's really old and not supported any more. And if you ever needed the software you would probably not be able to get it. Hopefully you still have the installation Media. Hardware wise, there are tons and tons of parts out there.

There are loads of sellers who can still get the hardware parts. Make sure that you have the installation discs. They tend to go missing. Those systems were built to last.
