I have a PartnerII that I need some assistance with. I would like to find out if / how I can forward calls out of the system after hours on an emergency. We do not want to forward all calls, just emergency type of calls. Here is the set up:

Partner II Processor Mod R4.1
Partner Mail VS R4.0 with exp card 20 Version 1.0
I have 2 slots open in the 2nd 5 slot cabinet.

The call comes in, is answered by the AA and prompts the caller to dial ext 31 for emergencies. Would like this call to go off to a cell phone or answering service. If this system will not do this, is there some upgrade or adjunct equipment that can hook into the Partner that will allow for off site transfer???

We tried message motification in VM, but was not working for a number of reasons... Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

When you say the Outcalling doesn't work do you mean that you can't get it to work or it's not what you want?

Hi rarmstro,
Outcalling is the only option on a Partner. There is no trunk to trunk transfer. You can make the voicemail more aggressive in it's outcalling.
I am not that familiar with VS R4, but the R5 or newer Partner messaging R1 can change the time between calling attempts, and the number of times the list of numbers is traversed.
As telprog asked, what is the problem with outcalling? I use that feature for emergency notification often.

Thanks for the response. I guess outcalling is not the correct term. What we would like to do is effectively trunk to trunk transfer. I would like to send the live call out to an answering service after the caller chooses ext 31.

I guess the big question is this, is there any way to forward an internal ext to an outside number after the Auto Attd answers the call? If trunk to trunk is not an option, other than doing a fork-lift upgrade and getting a more robust system in, are there any other options that are compatible with the Partner to solve the problem. Having Bell forward all calls after, let's say 5:00PM, is not an option because not all calls are emergencies. Any ideas?? Thanks again for the help.

tt systems used to make a device that would except calls on one line and forward them on another I wonder if you set up a emergency ext number off the auto attendent to one of the co ports if it would work I rember setting one of these up for a wrecker service for after hours but it was a few years back so I dont know if they are still availible

I also recall there being answering machines that could be set up to forward

check out viking products
they make hot line dialers and may be able to help you set one up give them a call they will direct to devices made by other manufactures if they dont have something that will work for you

If all else fails I would look for a older key sytem that you could set up in tandem with your partner with one extension simply for remote call forwarding the TIE/NITSUKO onyx VS comes to mind if you set up the base configuration which is I beleive 4x8 with one phone set to call forward to your emergency number run station port from your partner to co on the onyx give the onyx access to two of your co lines and it would work shouldnt be all that expensive to set up as the onyx is dated and stuff seems to go on ebay and thru refurbers cheap.

I have set this up with a PMVS R5 using the AutoAttendant and the centrex transfer feature. Set up a selector code to do this. All CO lines must have a hookflash transfer feature from the LEC (local exchange company). It will send the call to any programmed number you desire. The feature 1st became available with PMVS R5. Hope this helps. Also should be a feature in Partner Messaging as well, but I haven't set that one up. So upgrade your mail and you get the feature you need.
