I have a customer with a Partner (1)ACS,(2)206e modules and (1)4 port messaging module. They recently asked me to change the day greeting to pick up after 4 rings and the night message to pick up immediately. I made the changes in programming (F506). The problem is on both day and night the auto attendant picks up after 4 rings. The system is working with the weekly business schedule.
What am I doing wrong.Thanks

Night rings are controlled by the Night Service button, not by the Business Schedule. You need to program this button on X10 and have them turn it on whenever they want to shorten the rings. It will override the Bus Sched timer and play the Night Prompt. The Bus Schedule controls when the day and night greetings play. If you choose to use this feature, you need program the Schedule Options in Partner Msg to the option "both the Bus Sched and Switch mode".

Actually, don't use the "both" option - Avaya admits that it doesn't work properly, it will change modes at unexpected times. Pick "follow the weekly business schedule" to automate which message plays based on time-of-day/day-of-week, and add a night service button to Ext. 10 to determine the number of rings before the auto attendant picks up.

If I follow the weekly schedule only will the night service button only effect the ring setup and not the day/night messages

Yup, the night service button determines the number of rings before the caller reaches the auto attendant, the schedule determines which message they hear when they reach it.
