partner vm rel 3. stand alone port question

i purchased a used partner 3.0 stand alone voice mail with 6 ports

I quoted the customer on a 4 port system but I found a deal on the 6 port one

I thought I would remove one of the cards and put it on the shelf for future use

If I remove the card is there anything else I need to do to downsize this to 4 ports ?

should I initalisize the sytem or will it just make adjustments when I power back up ?

Just be sure to remove the third card. If you go to reinstall it in another system, you will need to change jumper settings. You might want to make note of the settings on the current first and second cards, and keep them for future reference.
