I have a R4.1 Processor and several R3.x 206Es, and my elderly system occasionally fails to remember it's config data after a power failure. I assume the data is stored on the Processor and maybe there's a button battery that has died? I've restored the info by hand a few times, but as the years pass, it takes some time to remember how it all works.

on x10 does it say to replace batteries if so then yes this is your issue.

Sounds like a Partner+ system not an ACS. If it is then it is time to replace the processor with something newer. The batteries are soldered on the mother board of the processor, you would need to remove the processor open it and remove and ressolder the battery pack back in.

Definitely not an ACS. It may be time to upgrade, since there seems to be more wrong than forgetting.

Can anyone tell me what the battery in the Partner II processor is? I'd like to replace it without having to open it twice.

go to refurbsupplies and search for partner plus battery.

i found the battery at refurb supplies. the battery description says "BATTERY 30170: Avaya, Partner, Plus II, 206, 3.6 Volt, 150mAh". Are there batteries on the 206E moduyle as well? Seems odd.

I have never had to replace one but I remember that the 206 had one not the 206E. The 206 was considered a baby Partner and the 206E was only for expansion of the 206, Partner plus, Parnter II and ACS.

Thanks. Now I just need to find a time when the system can be down for an hour without causing problems.
