Hi all,

I have a remote office with a Lucent Partner VM system that has stopped working after a power outage.

We've tried the system reset from ext. 10, then a hard boot by unplugging it.

They can't even access VM by going to ext. 777, the night message isn't functioning.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

Thanks so much for any help that you can offer!!
Amy

What release Partner? Partner II, Partner Plus ACS? If a Partner Plus or Partner II , was the date and time correct when the system was powered back on?

Sounds like the processor battery was dead and you lost all programming. If the system reads Jan. 1 as per the previous post you'll need to reprogram the system and reintegrate the voicemail.

would be a good idea to put it on a good ups and change the processor battery

It's a Lucent Partner 4.1

When they rebooted the system it did come back up with the date of January 1. The girl who is in that office mentioned she manually reset the date.

Seems that the system defaulted when AC power was lost. Skip's suggestion to change out the processor's battery and purchase a good UPS to keep the system up & running during power failures is an excellent idea.

Will the VM system have be reprogrammed from the ground up?

Only the Partner's settings regarding Voice Mail, Lines to Auto Attendant, and VM hunt group.

The Voice Mail's programming is on hard drive.

Thank you so much for your assistance everyone! I'm getting a tech out there with a battery & UPS.
