ive set the vm up with two auto attendents answering two companys that part works fine

the problem is the company directory when we do *2
is there a way to make names only appear in the company they belong to ?

the way it works now when I call into auto attendent one or two and enter a name lets say bill it brings up bill jones who is with company one and bill smith who is with company two

I would like the directory for attendent one to only bring up bill jones and the directory for company two to only bring up bill smith

is this possible ?

Hi skip555,
I think you are stuck with one group there. No way to split them up. Try an announcement for one of the two companies using a selector code. *8 plus ext # (clunky but it works)

Since you have a stand-alone VM, you have sub-directories that you can dial out of directly, without having to dial *8. So, the AA announcement says "For a directory of extensions, press 8" (or whatever selector code you want), and that goes to a subdirectory, which has a spoken listing of extensions, and remember to set the selector codes in the subdirectory to Direct Extension Dial as well.
