Does anyone have know of a document which describes the rollout history of the various releases of the Partner line? I need a document to prove to a customer just how old their Partner system is. It is a 4.1 Processor that I know was released in 1995. I would just like a peice of paper with an Avaya logo that shows the history.
TIA,
T

You can look at the serial number of the unit. The year of manufacture is on it.

I agree with ttech that the serial number is teh best indication for the age of the product but you can also get info on the support website.

if it is a Partner II then go to the website above and you can see the publishing dates of the documentation, but that doesn't tell you how long they were in use, to find that you would need to get to the product after the one you are looking for (Partner ACS R1 in your case) and see when that was published (Jan-97).

Former Tek-Tips member jshelton created a document for the Partner platform. The document discussed various aspects (hardware, releases etc) of the system. Sadly the URL is now inactive (but I did print a hard copy for my own records).

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Dex, if you could fax that to 585-235-5884 I'd appreciate it
Thx,

I have a Partner ACS Matrix R7 that is very helpful. I do not have a URL for it. It is on my reseller's web site, and is password protected. If you have seen the IP Office version, it is the same format for Partner. I will fax you the timeline page.

T,

I'll see what I can do. The document is pretty thick (even with double-sided printing). I will pull the binder tonight to see how many pages it is and post the number here.

The document is about 35 pages double-sided.

found the Partner ACS Release 8 Matrix and it has the timeline on it, also made a word document with pictures a while ago that I found again. Go
this is the folder with the Matrix for R7, R8 and the made up document.

I knew I had this somewhere but it took a while to find it on my old Laptop.

Enjoy
