I have a client that needs all incoming calls to ring on their paging system. They have an avaya 35watt amp ( I have ext 17 going to the amp. The tel and com of control are shorted together. This obviously prevents the ringing to happen over the speakers. If I take this off paging doesn't work(isn't loud enough to hear) but the ringing does work. What do I need to make this work? Do I need a "TAM B"? If you have any ideas or have ran into this problem and found a fix let me know. Thanks!

Connect to the Page port with a 4-conductor line cord, the Black/Yellow provides the contact closure during the page.

If you have an R7 ACS, program CO port 5 as the page port, as that's the only one that will provide the contact closure.

Where do the black and yellow connect to the amp? Tel and Com?

they are the contact closure that will mute all other inputs so that you can actually hear the paging again.
on the control input tel and com are correct

If you can't be good, be good at it!

Yes, exactly. Black and Yellow connect to Tel and Com.

If this is a recent production model, there will also be a 6-position modular jack in the input panel area. If so, just use a 4-conductor line cord from the CO-5 port on the ACS to the paging amp modular jack.
