Unlike most of the threads I've read along these lines, with everything that has gone right for me, it seems like there should be a simple solution for my problem.

Partner ACS version 3.0

Backup/Restore PC card present (verified a backup and restore operation)

Extension 17 set up for intercom. Verified with POTS telephone. (can call other extensions)

Problem:

From POTS phone on extension 17 when I dial extension 76 (supposed to be remote access modem, right?) it just rings. No answer.

System and remote access passwords have been set.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks,

Scott

Does the Backup/Restore card have a green or yellow label marked "Partner ACS Backup/Restore PC Card", or is it silver and says "Partner Remote Access PC Card"?

If the former, there is no on-board modem in the PC card, even though Ext. 76 is built in the system. If the latter, can you reach Ext. 76 from ANY extension through the Intercom?

Tommy,

Thanks for the speedy reply.

Yes, it is the former with green label.

From my limited research I thought that I recalled seeing something that said that the backup/restore card provided remote access. Guess that I'm mistaken.
