I have extension #10 that has an intercom dialtone when the handset or speakerphone is used. I have to manually select the outside line to make a call. Can anyone tell me how to reprogram this extension so it can access an outside line instead? -Thanks

Feature Zero Zero
Left Intercom Twice
Right Intercom Once
Dial in Ext 10
Dial ** and then touch line 1,2,3,etc.
Dial **
Feature Zero Zero or hang up

I tried this programming and now I have a regular dial tone on the intercom button which I thought was strange.
Can I get clarification for this problem?
Thank you!

OK, I'm back where I started. Thanks TouchToneTommy for the post. I am still getting the original intercom dial tone when I pick up my handset to answer a call. This is the button labeled "intercom" I want to be able to pick up the phone to answer line one. It's like the phone is set to automatically intercom instead of access an outside line. The voicemail and hunt group etc. is working fine.
Help!

Once again boys and girls-

From extension 10 or 11

1) Feature Zero Zero
2) Left Intercom Twice
3) Right Intercom Once
4) Dial Ext 10
5) Dial * twice and then touch line buttons 1,2,3,etc. in the order you want them to be selected when you pick up the handset. Select an intercom button last.
6) Dial * twice
7) Feature Zero Zero

Which is it? When you lift the handset to MAKE a call, or ANSWER a call? Is the phone actually RINGING?

Well original question was MAKE a call. The phone has to be set to ring on the lines you want to answer automatically by lifting the handset.
