Partner r4.0 Volume on incoming calls very low and needs adjustment

Sometimes when a call comes in, the caller is very quiet and the volume on the partner phone needs to be turned up. This happens on all lines and is unpredictable

If you use a buttset on the lines, do you have the same level problem?

Has this always been a problem on the system?

Are the lines a long way from the CO?

This could be a Telco loop issue. If that is the case, open a trouble ticket with repair service and ask for them to verify the loop loss level at the DEMARC for all the lines.

If it points toward the Partner, you could have a bad module.

If this is an at times problem and it happens on all lines, is the call from the same person/company or same area or cell phone?
Since it's random see if the customer will write down area code and nnx of the bad calls when it happens.
If it's infrequent and on all lines you could spend days at the demarc waiting to prove which way the trouble is, and if it is out to the Telco, their going to ask for the same info since it doesn't happen all the time!
