Know just enough about the Partner to get into trouble so I apologize in advance for any stupid statements/questions.
We have a Partner R7 with a PVM (large) R3 that's only about 3 months old. One user (MB12) gets "login incorrect" when using her known good password to try to log in to her mailbox, also callers get her greeting but no opportunity to leave a message.
We tried the backdoor password, same thing. Tried logging in to Administration to initialize the MB but get "invalid entry" with that MB number.
Our support folks suggested replacing the PVM but we want to try to maintain our config rather than rebuilding.
Is that config stored on the PVM card? If so, can we back it up before replacing the card?

Thanks, Al

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. [sad]

The configuration stays within the card itself so there is no to tranfer configurations. Backup and restore functions are found on the more expensive Avaya Partner Messaging and the older Partner Mail VS.

My statement should have said "There is no way to transfer configurations". [purpleface]

By default, mailbox 12 is extension 21. Which means if you are having problems with extension 12 you should be programming mailbox 3.

mailbox 1 = ext 10
mailbox 2 = ext 11

all the way to mailbox 16 = extension 25.
This would be the DEFAULT setup if you change your config to 16 mailboxes.
