The music on hold jack on my partner plus 4.0 is broken. Is there another option for connecting a device to play music on hold? Without replacing the the whole board?

have you gone to programing 602 and allowed music on hold?

and have you cheked the volume controll on the processor ?

if MOH is definatley not working replacing the processor would probably be the best bet a partner plus processor or a low release partner two processor ought to be fairly reasoanble.

if you are comfratable with board level soldering I would try resoldering the MOH RCA comnnector on the board could be a cold or cracked solder connection

Garzilla:

I just took apart a Partner Processor to see how MOH is fed into the system. There are just 2 soldering points that hold the RCA jack in place. You can replace the jack or simply remove the jack and solder 2 wires in its place, and connect the music direct. Of cource you would have to take the Processor apart.

I tried a 105A coupler in ststion 15...this dosen't work
like it does on a standalone 206 card.

thanks....I do have MOH active and adjusted the volume accordingly. I'm also going trim the adapter cable in the event it is not making clean contact.

you do know that you can go onto the cable with a butset and check for music right at the connector

pull the cable from the rca jack and clip onto the center pin then the outer you can check your moh source that way I always check this first when there is a moh problem
