I've recently installed a used Partner Plus 4.0 system. When power is removed from the system it loses ALL of its settings. Is there supposed to be a battery backup or some read-only memory? We'll have the whole system on a UPS when I do the final setup but I was surprised to find that when I shut down the system I lose everything. Normal?

normal ?

yep when the memory baatery dies , there is a ni-cad battery pack soldred to the main board of the processor.

you need to pop the clamshell open and desolder/resolder the battery pack.

Thanks. Where can I find a new battery and how long will it save the settings?
