The last one I did, I took the old battery to the local electronics supply house. I intended to purchase anything with the same voltage rating, and the same or higher mA rating, and just solder the pigtails to the board.
Lo and behold, it is a standard battery used on computer motherboards! They had an exact replacement in stock, solder tails that matched up and everything.
