I am installing a release 6 messaging system that was taking out of another customer. I am going from 2 port to 4 port, and I need to know how to clear the program.

I'm not 100% clear on the question.

Are you looking to find out how to add the 2 additional ports to the system or are you looking to default the voicemail module back to factory announcements & settings?

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

default back to factory setting, I hope the upgrade to 4 ports is just a matter of putting in the new card

The defaulting procedure is in the manual, also in the FAQ section of Avaya's support site. Or, connect through the LAN port with the GUI, and it will be easy to wipe out the existing boxes and attendant settings.

Just swap the 4 port card for the 2 port, (don't leave them both in the voice mail, it's one or the other), and program the port extension numbers into Hunt Group 7 in the ACS, and you'll be fine.

Which Avaya voicemail system is being used?

"Intercom 777 + 0#" is for the Avaya Partner Messaging while "Intercom 777 + 99#" is for the Partner Mail VS.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
