I have a customer that I put this in for and I would like to do the following:

Day Menu - Just a simple "You Have reached..." This should be fine as I have done this before.

Night menu - "Thank you for calling XYZ company, you have reached our after hours attendent. If you know your the two digit extension of the party you are trying to reach, please enter it now to be tranfered - Otherwise select *2 for the company directory searchable by first name."

"If this is an after hours emergency, please select 6"
6 should go to a submenu that will list two options. Both options should be a centrex transfer to two different numbers.

"If this is a call regarding leasing or sales, please select 7"
7 should go to another submenu that will be a centrex transfer to once again two different numbers.

Any thoughts on the above - Is there a better way?

TIA

Sounds like you've got it covered! To repeat a submenu, the caller will dial *4, to back up one level it's *#. And to repeat the main menu, it's also *#. I usually include that info in the recordings.

Is there a way to add a pause to the conig of the centrex transfer? I think the operation is too fast and it hangs up on me when I try to test it.

Maybe it something else - any other ideas?

TIA

* is pause when programming the Centrex number. I've had some Verizon line that needed a pause at the end of the number before the system does the final flash and disconnects.

Make sure your lines are working from a telephone set, and use a butt set to monitor the line as the auto attendant makes the transfer.

Man thanks for the input -

Would it be safe to say, that maybe I may need a couple of pauses? Maybe at the beginning also?

I will try it with the bone phone, but I do know the feature is avalible cause I can do a recall, dial, ring, recall from a system phone..

Yes, flash, dial, flash is 3-way calling, but can you then hang up, and the two outside parties remain connected? You may not have the Flash/transfer/disconnect feature from the phone company on those lines.

Yes, I can hang up and the call remains binding outside of the switch. This is on COX business services, and they call it "Call Transfer"

I am going to hookup a bone phone and listen, cause just like you said its probally getting the correct pause in...
