Ok, cust. has an ACS R5 processor, two 308ec modules, and a Partner Mail VS R4. The VM has the capacity for 20 mailboxes, and currently all 20 are "assigned". The user at ext.29 has noticed that when calls are transfered to him and he is on the phone, you get one short ring, and then the VM says "Transferring to the receptionist" and you ring back to Ext. 10. The user has also noticed that the password on his VM box has changed and he cannot log in.
I went through the VS mail and noticed that is has mailboxes for 10-25, 27, 28, 31, and 32, but no 29?
Doesn't the VS mail assign mailboxes to match whatever ext. number you are on? Their ACS has a total of 33 extensions, but not all have VM. What I think is that if the system numbers mailboxes to match the ext. #, that 29 got deleted and someone added a new MB, which now means the transfered calls have no VMB to go to, hence the x-fer back to ext. 10, and he cannot set one up because the system is maxed out? Correct or am I just way off?
I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay
