I have seen several threads concerning the very same issue that I am having but a confused CPA like myself has nowhere near the technical background or experience with these systems to understand much of what I've read. I am in need of someone to hold my hand through this process.

We had a power outage in my building and now our incoming calls ring on all 8 phones in our office with two red LEDs flashing indicating callers on two lines. Upon pickup the caller hears, "Transferring to the receptionist." I can hear this as well if I pick up on our end. Switch to the second blinking line and you get a very annoying sound. We want the phones to ring at each phone but whoever in our office picks up first should get the call. Our voicemails are all un-retrievable at this point. No one can dial in to listen to their messages that the red message light indicates are on there.

From what I've read on this site my guess is that I need to assign the correct extensions to Hunt Group 7. I don't really know how to do this. The overlay is MIA so I only know a few commands of the keypad.

Here is some additional pertinent information that I've seen you gurus ask for...

Read left to right:
1: 206E Module R4.1 (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
2: 206E Module R3.1 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
P: Proc. Module 4.0 (Music on Hold)
3: 400E Module R3.1 (7, 8)
4: Partner Mail VS R5.0 2 Port Card with Backup & Restore

Appreciate any help on this...

Your VM ports are either 32 and 33 or 26 and 27 (I can't remember if the 400 card occupies extension ports). Just dial Intercom 33 and see if the voicemail answers (although it may also do the "Transferring to Receptionist"

So, at Ext. 10
Feature 00
Left Intercom twise
#505-7-32-1
#505-7-33-1
Feature 00

A quick side note...

I believe that extensions 10 through 15 are controlled by the card in slot #1. Extensions 16 through 21 are controlled by the card in slot #2.

I also think that the 400 module does "eat up" extensions. Thus the practice is to slot it to the right of the voice mail module.

I [love2] "FEATURE 00"

Thanks guys...32 and 33 worked. Phones no longer ring with double LEDs blinking and no more "transferring to receptionist." I am able to answer incoming calls normally from all phones.

I am also able to check my voicemail by dialing Intercom 33 as suggested previously but was wondering how I get the shortcut button to work again. We had designated top left button on keypad as "Voicemail" and would only need to press this button to get to the greeting.

One other problem is transferring calls to another phone's voicemail. We also had a shortcut button (immediately to the right of "Voicemail" button) called "Voicemail Transfer" that when pressed in conjunction with an extension number would direct the caller to a specific extension's mailbox.

Any advice?? Thanks again.

Calling voicemail is Intercom 777, VM Transfer is Feature 14

Feature 00, press the button to program as Voicemail, press Left-hand intercom button and 777, press button to program as voicemail transfer, press Feature and 14, Feature 00 to exit

If you need your incoming lines answered by the automated attendant or by a mailbox, you also need to do some programming there.

you will need to have your battery changed in your processor( a process in which you will have to solder ) , or up grade to an ACS processor , which will have a triple AAA battery because when your power goes down again, you will lose your programing

I will be watching this thread as I am going through the same thing!!
line card shorted, blew fuse, wiped all programming and so now I am learning ACS :-(

Hint, I think, the voicemail button on handsets is only a programmed autodial button to dial the access voicemail sequence..
[Intercom][7][7][7] ??????
