I'm swapping out a failing Partner Mail VS 4.1 module and I want backup then restore the mail VS 4.1 programming. Yes. I have the Partner Mail VS 4.1 backup/restore card.

Does #124 back up the Partner Mail VS 4.1 programing as well as the ACS programing? If so, then will #125 restore the Mail VS programming?

Thanks,

There are no backup/restore functions available on the Partner VS mails except with the VS R5.0.

Even if you were able to pull off a "backup" of your defective VS 4 drive, I wouldn't trust the backup as it may have corruption on the main operating files or database files. Reprogramming the VS 4 is not that difficult and it might be a good time to just clean up any old programming or mailbox greetings.

If you have an extra slot, put in both voicemails to allow users a bit of time to clean out their old boxes.

Install the new where the old was and build the needed boxes and record the AA greetings.

Put the old vmail in the next available open slot, remove all ringing from those ports, then add those ports to hunt group 6. Subscribers can then call 776 to call the old mail system to clean out their boxes for a few days. Makes the transition a bit easier in a large office system.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate the help!
