Our Partner II Release 1 system, circa 1992, is on its last legs. The phone connections on most of the 206 modules are noisy at best. On a couple of the 206 modules, when a CO line rings, those phones may do one or two half-rings and then they go "dead" for a few seconds. No ring, no dial tone, no or scrambled display. Then they recover.
Given the existing 10+ phones, comprising MLS-34D, MLS-12D and Partner-6 models, existing wiring and 5-slot carrier, we figured perhaps the most practical thing would be to upgrade to the ACS R6 by replacing the processor and 206 modules with new modules.
We're assuming the carrier is good, because any problems we have with a card move with the card no matter what slot we put the card in.
Does anyone have any suggestions/thoughts on upgrading?
Will the Partner II Rel.1 5-slot carrier work with ACS R6.0 cards?
