Will upgrading to 4.1 allow programming of all buttons?

Hi dwolley,
If you are using Partner 18 phones, you must upgrade to the ACS series to program the top row of buttons. The latest releases give you much more control over voicemail plus a ton of other features.

Upgrading to 4.1 will allow access to all programmable buttons on the Partner 18-button phones. Probably much cheaper than upgrading to ACS, and if you currently have a Partner II expansion carrier the ACS may not be a viable option. Brian Cox

I never heard of not being able to use the top row on the p18 phone....

Brian is 100 percent correct........

Hi Fellas,
I must have tried to use P18D's on a partner plus then. I'll dig out an old processor and try it. Sorry for any incorrect statements. Also, I was trying to determine what phone dwooley was talking about. The P18D is the only thing that comes to mind. I am in error in that I did not specify the display model in my responses.
Dwooley, could you please clarify what phone you are trying to program?

Take care,
-Chris

Even on the Partner Plus if you upgrade to R4.1 the Partner 18 phones will operate correctly. Anything lower will act like a 12-button phone and the top row of buttons will not work. All ACS are compatible. Brian Cox

Brian, I really appreciate the extra effort to verify that the 4 buttons on top (under the diplay)on an 18D tel. set become usable when upgraded to 4.1. I'll order it.
Have an awesome day! Thanks to all who had input!
