I have a project coming up that I need some help with. I am going to order a new Partner system for one of my remote buildings and dont know much about them. They are wanting vm and a system have about 18 lines. I have 2 of these installed in other buildings but again I really dont know how to configue them. Can you make suggestions for me as what I need to order??

Thanks as always for your help.

Mikey

They need all 18 of their sets to have their own number. I would like to have some room for expansion if possible when I put this system in place.

18 for now. One of those is for their fax so it wont go through the system. I do thank you for the help. Kinda out of my elimate. I self maintain a 5200 station G3R but this is dirrerant animal. LOL

So you are saying you want to set up the Partner with 18 telephones and 18 central office lines, correct?

Thats it. I would like to be able to add other lines to this if it is need though.

Mikey

In order to do 18X18 you are going to have to set it up as a 25x24 with a 1600DSL module, you will need to have SDSL in your area. This will leave you with a free slot for VMS or you can put a stand alone VMS with it but you will need some of the unused ports off of the last 308EC.
Hope this helps.

The New R6 supports DID lines You can give each employee an personal number without having one line per person.

Thanks guy's for your help. Anything else you can think of that I may need please let me . I had 2 of these installed late last year in a couple of new buildings. I had to get their networking, phones, T-1's all going so I didnt have much time to watch and learn when they installed those systems for me, as both of these we to open at about the same time. I am hoping to get in the middle of this one...

Mikey,

One question. Is there any reason why you haven't considered using the Legend system? Seems like you have a growing business(s) and might dead end yourself using the Partner ACS system. Yes - the new ACS R6.0 does allow you 16 lines from a T-1, but it just seems that you might be stretching it cost wise to go with the newer Partner high cost equipment to get capacity that is very cheap in the Legend system and you have a more robust/reliable switch with many more programming/operation features available.
