customer seems to have had problem after power failure.
Other inter-connect company tells them VM module and 4 port vm card need replacing?
Seems to me 509 card went bad.
Any easy test to determine this without purchasing a 509 card to take with me?
Thanks as always!!

plug the 509 direct into the power cord, if you get a green light and it works you know it is not the 509. If no light, the unit took a hit and might be dead.

Also be aware that the batteries don't do anything other than keep the "Replace Batteries with Power On" message off of Ext. 10 and 11. If the ACS did not have a backup/restore card with a valid backup on it, it could be simply that it powered back up OK, but has the default configuration, which will make the voicemail behave all goofy, perhaps causing the other company to conclude that the VM is bad.
