Hi all,

Any method to forward after staying on the line or pressing '0' to an extension other than 10. In addition, any possible way to have 2 DXD ring on extension 15, but if no pickup to leave voice mail at the dialed extension. For example, if caller keyed in 10 as DXD, it will ring to extension 15, but upon no answer, which will have voicemail setup, forward back to extension 10 to leave voice mail.

thanks,

Rex

The first question, yes. If you go into admin programming and go under the AA you are using, you can change the dial 0/timeout action.

2nd question, I dont think so, but someone else may have an answer.

What type voicemail?(PC card,Partner Messaging,Partner Mail...)

Couldnt you just Forward the phone (Feat.11) to X15 it will ring there the specified number of rings and then default to the forwarded from extensions Mailbox??? That should work on any VM revision as long as Extension 10 had a Mailbox....

I'm using the Partner Voice Mail PC card (Large). I'm not sure if "0" time/out option is available.

Please advise.

You can not change the zero time out action on that voicemail.

Am I pretty much stuck with extension 10 as default transfer extension when a caller presses "0"?

Is there an upgrade to the VM pc card(large) where i can assign any extension as "receptionist or 0" or have much more feature including submenus, after hour anouncements, etc.

thanks,

REX

Hi Rex,
You are stuck with ext10. PVM cards are very limited, but they work. The only upgrade would be to purchase a new Partner Mail R6 or R7. Or buy a used R1 or VS-5.

Rex, they consider the Partner Messaging Pc Mail large or small)a high end answering machine only. Look at Partner Messaging R7 (or R6 if you can find one).Be careful when buying used or refurbished equipment.

Since Partner Messaging R6 or R7 is what most of you recommend, can someone list the advantages of PMR6 or R7 relative to other partner VM alternatives as well as what one should look for in a VM system.

Thanks a bunch,

Rex

Hi Rex,
These are the most recent vm products. They offer integrated messaging and many advanced features over a normal vm. You get four attendants, attendant schedual controller by time or switch mode, autocopy for vm boxes, outcalling ...
One of the best features is the ability to program and administer over the lan by computer. Backups can occur to another computer on the network. These are very close to the Merlin Messaging product. Man, I love the program GUI. Makes looking after one of these a pleasure. I find customers pick up on this much easier.
