Still need to visit the customer site, but they say that the CID is not being passed to all phones, only Ext10. This site has had some comments about certain releases not passing CID from the VM system. Does anyone know if R5 supports this? Thanks in advance...

I think it was more the voicemail they are using that wouldn't allow the passage of caller id through, but if it working at x10 then it should work for all extensions. One thing to make sure is that the system is ringing 2 times before the AA picks up. The system needs those 2 rings to recognize the caller id being sent.

The phones don't have to ring 2 times, you just need to program voicemail to pickup after 2 rings.

ACS R6, Partner Messaging R6 is required to pass caller ID from AA

I failed to mention that the customer has a PVM Large Card, not Modular VM. I will visit today and report my findings.

I tested it today, but the CID is only being passed AFTER the call is aneswered; during the ringing it says Voice Messaging System on the display. Will a move to Partner Messaging R6 with ACS R5.0 resolve this? My customer would like to know. Thanks.

1043: You said ACS R6 and Messaging R6 will support this, correct? The CID will appear while the call is ringing?

Just verified with my bench set,

ACS R.6.0.C and Partner Messaging R7 sorry no R6.
Call rings twice before AA Answers.
All Phones set to delayed ring.
dial 10 from AA.
On 10 display you see "voice mesaging system" then caller ID number and name. Number is dispalyed during conversation.

So to confirm, the CID is NOT displayed while the call is ringing? If not, I have the same deal working with ACS 5 and PVM Large Card. Please confirm whether you get the CID before the call is answered.

Thanks for all of your help!

During the FIRST ring of the transfer, you will see Voice Messaging System, because that's the source of the transfer, and the VMS has not actually disconnected to complete the transfer yet. From the 2nd ring, you will see the CID
