Evening all,
A client has asked us to install a Partner ACS R.6 with a DS1 module. I am looking for any guidance on this as I have never done this on a Partner system. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton!!!

Umm.. Gator says that he is installing a DS1 in the ACS. Not dsl. Make sure that you sell them a new ACS, and not one that got the flash upgrade to a R6. They had problems with those.
The ACS will default to pooling the T1 lines, so if the T1 is turned on and you have no programming, you will get something out of it off the bat.
I guess what I am looking for is to find out how to assign individual DID's to phones if possible. I am not even sure if that is what they want or not yet. I just got the message tonight.
SO, the system automatically pools the lines? Does it assign them to all phones also?
GatorDave
If you already have the software, you just go into DID mapping and enter the DID and what extension you want that to go to. Pretty straight forward....
Howdy all,
Well we did the install last night. The only hitch we had was getting the remote dial in to work. I finally figured out how to do the "local" connect and then it was a breeze. Is there a trick to the "remote" way of doing it. I was doing it operated assisted. Other than that, it went great. Thanks again to all for your help.

Look at some of the other forums. Everyone has had a problem with remote connections. Most have found that using an external modem has worked the best.
Hey Gator- How were incoming calls to a main # handled? I installed one of these last week and they ported the main tel # as a did and wanted dalayed answer by the auto attendant. I had to do a messy work around.
