Today marks the end of the long and very productive run of the Partner platform . Except for the ACS R7, the Partner has been one of the best systems aimed at the small end market.
Long live the secondary market.!!! Partner ACS is a great product..The new IP Partner edition leaves a lot to be desired as far as Voice Mail and Voice Mail documentation is concerned...So sad
The new release of the IPO Partner version looks pretty good. Alot of missing featues are back, and alot of new ones in the works. Long live feature 00.
the first of our salesmen that sells an IP Office in Partner mode will get a baseball bat on the knees.
there is no big price difference and why castrate a perfectly fine working Partner ACS with Partner Messaging with the lousy excuse of a phone system that they claim is the new Partner system.
Voicemail sucks and if you happen to have 48 extensions then, sorry for your luck, you can't use them all any more. No Partners are dead I am afraid and for the price of the new 1400 phones you might as well go that route and replace all the legacy phones right away and save yourself the hassle later on should you want to do it then.
I love the Partner system and I love the IP Office but the hybrid IP Office Partner Edition is not my cup of tea even with added features in R6.1 and R7.0 it is inferior to the ACS and Messaging
Looking good and actually working are two different things!!
Especially, with all the promises these companies make! They said the same thing with the previous technology. Why would the new one be any different, when they can't even do it right the first time!
ACS R7 (earlier releases) comes to mind losing the programming
Their fix was to look for a backup in the card and upload it automatically, it "looked" as if it was working but it was a workaround and they never fixed it.
