Partner ACS Dial 9

I am installing a Partner ACS R3 processor that has been upgraded to R6. I have a single line phone on extension 12 that I want to be able to dial 9 for an outside line. I have it set up now to give an intercom dial tone when off hook. When I go off hook and dial 9 I get what sounds like a busy signal from the partner processor. The outside lines are not in use when I get this busy signal. What do I need to do in programming to allow this single line phone to be able to get an outside line by dialing 9?

Assign the lines to that extension (#301). Then, make sure you set auto-line select to grab the Intercom Buttons first and then the lines. That way, you get Intercom dialtone and can dial 9 to get outside. You will probably also want to remove line ringing from the lines on that extension as well (if you don't want it ringing on inbound calls).

I checked in #301 programming and the lines are assigned to my single line phone extension. I get intercom when I go off hook. Still can't get outside line when I dial 9.

Maybe it is restricted, Try #302 and make sure it is 1= No restriction. Make sure Forced Account Code, #307 is 2= Not assigned. Make sure #401 is 1= No restriction.

Also, make sure auto-line select is set correct, Feature 00, Left Intercom Twice, Right Intercom Once, dial extension of phone, **, then press the Intercom Buttons followed by the line buttons, then ** again.

If none of that works, it could be apart of a dissallowed list, #405.

Reprogram the auto line select for the single-line extension. Select the left intercom first, then touch the outside lines in order. Then your dial 9 should work.
