I have a partner acs 625 with the main module and 2 ACS modules.
The system lately has been blinking and the main 34D end set on ext 10 will not even sync up. The LCD on the set just keeps recycling along with leds on the cards...pulsing.
I removed the 2 ACS modules on the left first 2 slots and the unit stabilized with just the main processor module in. Now none of the extensions are connected but the systems is not power cycling continously.

What might be causing this?
sorry for terminology

What modules were installed to the left of the processor - starting with the leftmost slot??

I've never heard of a Partner 625 [bugeyed].

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

They are ACS cards on the left. The main one is the processor card. Currently the processor card is the only one inserted and is solid green. Not resetting.

The left cards just connect the extensions I believe.
Sorry typo on the 625 please disreagard that.

Just wondering what type of cards are in those 2 other slots (400E, 400EC, 206E, 206EC, 308EC, 012E....etc).

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Whoa Nellie!

I re-read your initial post. It says that you removed the expansion modules. Now the processor does not power cycle, but the extensions are not connected.

With the Partner ACS processor you connect lines and extensions right on the processor.

I think you have an older Partner system (Partner Plus or Partner II).

Either way, power down the carrier and seat the far left card. Power up and see what happens.

1) If good, power down and seat the 2nd card and power up. If the system then balks, replace the 2nd card.

2) If bad, power down, swap the 2 expansion cards and power
up again. If good, replace the card that is unseated.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
