my extensions are freeking out, they work for a while then go dead or if i am in mid call it sounds like the asterk key is being held down.
here is how i set it up.
1, equipment partner 2 processorver 3.0, a 206e 3.1 and a 206e 3.0 and a 5 slot carrier

2,being the phone companys acess box was 4 feet away from the system i ran 3 telephone lines 4 wire each to lines 1,2,and 3

3' in the carrier it is set up as follows center slot is processor, solt 1 "first on left" and slot 2 have the 206e in them,
4, i already replaced the processor thinking it was bad.no luck
5,all the extensions from the 206's i am using a standard phone line to the extensions.
6, i never have any problems with 1 extension that has the 3 line cordless mls-16 i think
other phoned are mls 12-d's
i have swapped phones they work for a few minuts then the same thing keeps happening.
do i need to clean out programming or set up programming as part of set up?
thank you all in advance.

Have you tried different 206 cards? Matt Wray

not yet wanted advise b4 i spend more money do you think thats the culpret? does my install look correct?

There really isn't much to install the Partner. With a 5 slot carrier, processor in center, station cards count from the left. A Partner will work with all defaults ok, unless you bring VoiceMail into the picture. From what you said, I would've thought bad processor too. You should not have to pay for a new card, send it back to the supplier and request a new one.
For basic troubleshooting, try using only 1 station card with the processor and see if you experience probs. If it's a bad card you should be able to narrow it down, not likely that both cards are shot. Could be the backplane also...
When you are troubleshooting, make sure you plug directly from the switch to the phone, to make sure it's not the cable or jacks.. Matt Wray

The problem is the MLS-12 phones. The buttons flex starts shorting out will randomly short buttons out. The choice is to get phone repaired or replaced the new euro phones don’t have a flex; a new flex should last for 3-5 years.
