i'm not at the office but it's a system with R3's, 206's and stuff like that.. i was wondering if Centrex is a requirement, i see it on the phone bill but can i cancel it?

ok i will try it, is there any method of chat.. i could do when i'm there? maybe i can call you.. i'll paypal!! it's really important to fix this..

not everything is a DIY project

theres no shame in calling a pro to set up what you cant understand

some lose sight of the fact that these forums exits for pros to help each other and exchange info and not for the DIYe'r to exclude the pro from the process

heres one place to find a competent pro to help you out

go to support.avaya.com and download any and all Partner manuals you want! Then read, read, read! Or spend some money and hire a tech.

I would 2nd what TTT and Skip have said.

If you hire an installer, they can get you up and running in almost no time flat and provide proper training. [thumbsup2]

I will 3rd all the previous posts. I believe this site is for Installers and Technicians (people who know the basics) to help each other understand not the "BASICS" but to trouble shoot the more complicated or problematic items. The items you are asking help on are basic setup features that anyone with a basic training could do in 15 minutes when on site. You already probably saved a $1000.00+ by buying the system on ebay. Go spend $200-300 dollars on a couple hours of a local tech and you will be up and running. I don't know what your company does but I bet you don't give out free advice to customers so that they can by pass your services.

Spend a little and get the basics done.

FYI - I'm a little annoyed right now because I have lost 2 good sales to companies who have me come in, demo and quote what they need and then buy the equipment off ebay and then they want me to install it for the same fixed labor price when I quoted the system.

If this keeps happenning none of us will be in business.

of course guys, i got nothing but respect for the installers.. believe me, i think it'll take 10-15 minutes over the phone, i'm willing to pay a 60 bux for it ? paypal anyone? i can't have someone come in though because it's a high security area...

i'm not getting an email response now.. i see in the thing you told me to do #310 but it's #301, either way i want to try it myself, when i put #310-26-05-1, it says assigned but does not save it, how do i save it ?

Yup, it's 301

That's lysdexia for you (that's what dyslexia looks like to someone who has it!)

haha.. well as i said to skip555

509 processor..

1-4 was existing.

Added line 5 on that

The 206E has 2 lines on it now.

How do I do that? That’s my problem..

We added 3 lines,

1,2,3,4 on 509 was already in existence, added the 5th line

6th and 7th went into the 206E

I tried:

#301-26-05-1

#301-28-06-1

#301-28-07-1

Same with extension 26 and 30… but no luck, only one number rings.. it’s a mess..

wow, so you're "hurt" or something that i took your previous advice? unbelievable.

i got it working.. the ports on the 206E were messed up.. anyway, "flake".. uh huh
