I've run into a situation where the time and date are switching places on a Partner 18D's LCD.

The usual layout for the LCD is that the date will be on top and the time will be on bottom. I have an 18D that, for some reason, will keep switching the date & time so that the time is on top and the date is on bottom.

The problem follows the telephone as it doesn't matter which port on the Partner ACS R6 it's connected to. I can correct the display by unplugging the telephone for a few seconds and plugging it back in again. The display will, once again invert, but it could takes days, weeks or months for it to happen.

Is the inverting display something that happens a lot and is it worth sending the telephone in to be checked out? Plenty of spare units on hand and other than the display, the telephone itself works perfectly. [ponder]

To be honest I have never seen this happen or none of my customers have ever noticed it and reported it to me. If it is working fine other then that perhaps you can put it somewhere that doesn't get used much.

Think up a good description for how it was specially built for some important pontentate, and sell it on eBay for $350.

Thanks for the feedback folks!

I've swapped out the telephone set, tagged it and will use it as a spare, if for some reason I run short of stock.

On the other hand, maybe I could sell it on eBay, as jl suggested, as a rare, 1 of a kind telephone set [bigsmile].

(Just kidding) [wink]
