I'm setting up a new server, and need some partitioning help.

I know the general ins and outs of partitioning, but always have either done a single user workstation or a multi-user server.

Now, I need a web/database server.

So I'm thinking I basically dial down /home and add some new partition called /data to hold the database files and /htdocs of apache...

If this sounds like a particularly good or bad idea to anyone, please comment before I get in too deep.

Thank you!

I used the /srv as recommended by my installer... but I'm not sure this was a good idea... again, looking for feedback if you have any.
