Can someone please tell me how to partition a hard drive and get it to have win 95 on one side and xp on the other?

Yup - but I can not see where it tells me how to partition it.

I know its to do with FDISK but can you tell me what needs to be typed in etc please?

A good tool that is inexpensive (Free if you run it fromthe floppy just to "try it out") is BootITNG.
Create a floppy with the download from:
Then, boot to that floppy and say no to installing it on Hard Drive. Then, go to Partition Work icon (double-click), and you can create, manage, and even re-size partitions including NTFS, FAT-32, and Linux! It is a fantastic utility, especially if ;ater you find out you have made your partituions too smal or too large, you can resize them with no problems.
If you decide to buy a licence (which I suggest) it is only £39.
