Hey did you end up recovering your data from a PqRP partition.. I have the same problem and i wanting to know if you have fixed it and how did you do it..

thanks.

Had a similar event. Reasonable success with R-Studio. Try the demo; it won't hurt.

I had a currupt NTFS partition (from improperly broken stripe set) which I needed to get rid of (constant "upcase table format" errors). I slowly moved files to a new, adjoining partition and slowly increased the new partition and made the corrupt one smaller. Both NTFS. Partition magic crashed (not NT) during one of the resizings and both partitions were lost.

R-Studio quickly found all (i think) of the files on both partitions, but all of the files were corrupt on the second (newer) partition and many orphan directories were found. About 90% of the files were fully recovered from the older, corrupt partition (surprisingly).

I haven't found any problems yet with the files that Rstudio reported as ok. Seems like a reasonable value, to get anything important back at all. I also looked at active drive recovery (crashed on each attempt) and dfsee (takes too long to learn and wrestle with). Tried one of the norton/symantec tools; completely useless.

Yeah i have had the same happen to me, so far i have got 10gig missing in this Pqrp error. I need help, and hope the files aren't corrupt.

I had this happen too. I was able to recover the entire volume with runtime's getdataback. I also tried ontracks easyrecovery but getdataback was clearly the winner (and the price is a lot more reasonable). the only problem was to have enough free space on another partition to copy the recovered data to. when i was done, i simply formated the screwed up partition.

I have just had partition magic crashed , now i have
a 7 gb pqRP partition. The problem is that i can recover the files, but the format is like "'sd'2340'",raw hex!!How can i
fix it?

Got lots of options here, by copying sample data to and fro. In Unix you can do a TAR or a CPIO. In Windows you can use the Robocopy utility from the NT Resource Kit. In Netware we have used a product called Acopy, which shows you throughput.

For day to day backup throughput analysis (among other things) in Veritas NBU we use Bocada Backup Reporter.

PLease help! I tried to make a partition on a 60GB disk and it crashed at 32% then it didn't rocognize my hard disk, so I had to install a seperate hard disk and used PTEDIT to fix the problem, so I got access to my disk back, but the 10GB partition I was making is gone! My 60GB only had 50GB! And there's no other partition, how do I get those 10GB back? Please don't tell me the only way is formatting the whole disk. Any help please let me know. Basically I just need to know how to recover a "missing" particion or "lost space" due to a crash during the partition. Thanks

I had similar problem. I ahve three HDs and one of them had unclaimed space that I tried to reclaim using partition magic 7.0. At the end on rebooting the drive failed to reboot and came up with the message 'divide overflow error'. The HD gets at that point. Also when I try to boot from other HDs, it hangs on 'windows logo' when the corrupted HD is connected to the system. (When I remove corrupted HDs from the system other HDs boot ok). My problem is how to fix this problem? I have important data on the corrupted drive. Please help
