I have a PC I am working on where the builder had partioned the HD with drive C with only 2.5 gigs and drive D with 8.5 gigs. Drive C is now full and was wondering if there is anything I can do since drive D still has 7 gigs left or more?
Thanks for looking at my question.... Blue

Get a hold of Partition Magic. It will allow you to resize thet partitions.

Jim I already have partion magic on a tech CD I have with several other programs but I have never used it. Is there any Do's or Don'ts I need to watch out for when I resize the partions?

Thanks ,

Just the common recommendations. . BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP. Using any partition utilities is risky, less so than it used to be, but still a risk. David Moore

David is quite right. If Partition Magic is interrupted in mid-operation it can create quite a mess (it happens). A good backup is critical.

what would be the best way for me to back everything up .. should I ghost the HD or ??????? She has a Zip drive but it is only a 100mb drive and she has all of her company files on drive C and aboput 400mb on drive D and all the files on drive D are actual files w documents in stuff.

Again thank you all for your input ......

Fastest way might be to ghost the entire drive to a spare hard drive with equivalent specs.
