BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

HSM, yes they are.

The 9500 is ipo only and the 94 are ipo and cm compatable.

But i only could find the 9500.

See it as the 1400 and the 1500 range.

I still do not understand why they do this.
Make one range and rebuild the firmware if needed.
How hard can it be when they already do this???

On the Avaya 9408/9508 Telephones:

The IP Office supports the 9408 and 9508 telephones.

9400 Series and 9500 Series phones are physically and functionally identical. However, 9500 Series phones are only supported on Avaya B5800 Branch Gateway and IP Office systems (r7.0+) whereas 9400 Series phones are also supported on other Avaya telephone systems like Communication Manager.

NOTE: As of this posting, the 94XX version is not Generally Available yet.

Must admit I quite like the 9508 - been using one for a couple of months now and its pretty good overall.

I love these phones and am finally happy to give the 5400 series the retirement they deserve. I've already instructed purchasing to buy whatever inventory they can once available to avoid out of stock issues.
